Frequently Asked Questions
How many names can I add?
There is no hard limit. You can add hundreds of names and the wheel will handle them all.
Can I remove a name after it is picked?
Yes! After the winner is announced, click the "Remove" button so they cannot be picked again.
Is this truly random?
Yes, 100%. The wheel is powered by a Cryptographically Secure Pseudo-Random Number Generator (CSPRNG) via the Web Crypto API. Every name has an exact, mathematically uniform probability of being chosen — completely unbiased, tamper-proof, and impossible to predict or manipulate.
Why Teachers Love the Name Picker Wheel
Calling on students is one of the most anxiety-inducing parts of school for shy kids. When a teacher uses a Random Name Picker, students report feeling less targeted because the selection is visibly fair. The spinning animation also creates a moment of excitement that livens up even the most boring review sessions.
